Welcome to

Oregon Medical marijuana clinics

Here are some steps that you need to do:

1. Visit a certified Oregon medical marijuana doctor for consultation. Patients are asked to fill up some forms that will provide complete information of their medical conditions, to avoid any hassle from both sides, it is best to bring all medical records and forms for validation purposes. Take note that there are a lot of doctors that a patient can go to for consultation within the state. Just make sure that the doctor that the patient will attend to is licensed to practice in the state so that there will be no need of any repetition of the process.

2. They also need to bring valid identification cards that will show their current residency since only Oregon residents are allowed to apply for medical marijuana ID.

3. After providing all information that is needed, the doctor will be doing an initial check up on the patient to verify that the patient will indeed need medical marijuana for their condition. A check-up will also allow doctors to see if there are any other conditions a patient has besides the one that has already been provided.

4. An interview will be done to the patient by a physician and once it’s done and the doctors think that you are qualified, a patient can apply for a medical marijuana ID. A good doctor can even assist his patients in the process so there will be no further complexity on the part of the patient during the application process.

What do I need to bring to my visit?

One of the most important things a patient needs to bring is a valid identification card that will show that he/she is a resident of Oregon. A valid Oregon state ID or a driver’s license will do. In any instance that a patient doesn’t have one of those identification cards available, a proof of billing will do as long as it will indicate the patient’s address.
A patient’s medical record is also a requirement, including medication history. Although there are certain exemptions if the said records are lost, the patient must have proof though that they were indeed lost.
Do I have to be at least 18 to be a patient?

A patient under 18 can still be issued a medical marijuana id as long as they have the legal guardian with them to sign a waiver that allows the patient to use medical cannabis. This means that their parent or guardian will be responsible for the patient’s health care decisions. Guardians will be educated of the risks and benefits of using medical cannabis.

Will there be any privacy issues with respect to having a state–issued medical marijuana card? Everything will be confidential. The only person who knows about this matter aside from the department is the doctor who gave you the recommendation. Any other people who have this information may not release any detail about the patient’s treatment. So as long as the patient does not show his or her identification card to anybody else, then no one will know about the patient’s medical marijuana use.
